The Davidson Defense Ronin Competition with SB Tactical SBA5 Brace is an AR-15 pistol full build kit chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 10.5-inch government profile barrel. The kit includes the upper assembly, bolt carrier group, charging handle, SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace, mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube, 3 oz carbine buffer, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware. The lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Gas System

The 10.5-inch government profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a phosphate finish and a 1:7 twist rate. The barrel handles the 5.56 NATO chamber and provides the threaded muzzle end for the included GI birdcage flash hider at a 1-in-2x28 thread pitch. The carbine-length gas system uses a .750 O.D. steel micro low-profile gas block, which sits beneath the handguard and keeps the forend profile clean and unobstructed.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The slick side billet upper receiver is 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type 3 Class 2 hardcoat anodized finish and an anti-rotation cutout, manufactured in the USA. The slick side profile removes the forward assist and ejection port door provisions found on standard upper receivers, giving the build a cleaner exterior profile. The 10-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum in black, giving the build a clean forend with M-Lok accessory slots for lights, grips, and other attachments. The handguard length matches the 10.5-inch barrel, with the muzzle device providing clearance beyond the handguard.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included bolt carrier group is a complete AR-15 unit built from 9310 alloy steel with a nitride finish. It is compatible with 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .300 Blackout, and .350 Legend configurations. The mil-spec M4 charging handle completes the upper component set.

SB Tactical SBA5 Brace and Buffer System

The SB Tactical SBA5 pistol stabilizing brace is nylon reinforced polymer in black and pairs with the included mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube in black. The 3 oz carbine buffer, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
