Although the gas system is pistol-length, the upper is fitted with a carbine-length quad-rail handguard to offer extended mounting real-estate and a familiar MK18 profile — the micro low-profile gas block (0.750) is mounted under that handguard (not using the front sight post as a gas block), paired with a stainless pistol-length gas tube for effective pressure management. A 5/8x24 muzzle thread pitch ensures compatibility with standard suppressors and accessories.
