The Vertex Enhanced Pistol Caliber AR-15 Billet Upper Receiver is made for pistol caliber AR builds. It is 6061-T6 aluminum with a black Type III hard coat anodized finish. The Vertex name identifies this upper receiver within the Mockingbird Gen 2 kit. It is the foundation of the upper side of the build.

6 Inch Nitride 9mm Barrel

The barrel is a 6 inch 9mm barrel made from 4150 CrMoV with a nitride finish. It uses a medium profile and a 1 in 10 twist rate. The muzzle uses a half inch x 28 thread pitch, the common thread for 9mm AR barrels. The short barrel keeps the AR-9 compact.

4 Inch M-LOK Handguard and 9mm Flash Hider

The handguard is a 4 inch free float M-LOK design made from 6061-T6 aluminum. M-LOK slots give room for a light or hand stop on the short forend. A 9mm specific A2 birdcage flash hider threaded half inch x 28 is included. A half inch black crush washer rounds out the muzzle hardware.
