The free-float handguard covers the barrel and is attached to the upper receiver via a barrel nut. It is important to find a handguard that is right for you not only because of the many tactical benefits they have but they can also help add to the aesthetic of the build as a whole. When you are purchasing a handguard it is important to take into consideration the length of the gas system. Experts recommend that the handguard should completely cover the gas system on an LR-308 build.

About this Handguard: The Live Free Armory 15-inch M-LOK Handguard has a classic lightweight design with an FDE cerakote finish. To ensure it is tough and durable it is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It has a continuous 1913 Picatinny rail that allows for easy and secure mounting of accessories. This free-float handguard easily fits onto any DPMS styled receiver set. It is high profile and a great way to elevate any build.

Material of Handguard: The LFA 15-inch M-LOK Handguard is lightweight (12.05oz) and is precision CNC machined from a high-quality 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion. This achieves an end result that is solid, strong, and still very lightweight.

Type of Top Rail: The LFA 15-inch M-LOK Handguard Handguard is CNC machined with a Picatinny rail across the top of the entire handguard.
