Barrel and Upper Receiver

The 5-inch slim profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a phosphate finish and a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x36 and pairs with the included 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with M4 feed ramps and an anodized finish, serving as the core front end structure for the AR-9 build. M4 feed ramps support reliable cartridge feeding from the magazine into the chamber. The AR-9 platform operates via direct blowback.

Handguard

The freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with an anodized purple finish, keeping the forend lightweight and compact. The M-Lok slots provide attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length is shorter than the 5-inch barrel, and the muzzle device extends beyond the handguard to provide the necessary clearance.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group is built from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. This BCG is the correct unit for AR-9 direct blowback configurations. The anodized mil-spec charging handle completes the upper component set.

SB Tactical SBA3 Brace and Buffer System

The SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace pairs with the included mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position buffer tube. The 5.5 oz 9mm carbine buffer, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
