The Davidson Defense Lightshow with Gauntlet Arms Brace is an AR-9 pistol full build kit chambered in 9mm with a 5-inch slim profile barrel. The kit includes the upper assembly, 9mm bolt carrier group, charging handle, Gauntlet Arms nylon reinforced polymer pistol stabilizing brace, heavy duty pistol buffer tube, 5.5 oz 9mm carbine buffer, carbine recoil spring, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware. The AR-9 platform operates via direct blowback. The lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Upper Receiver

The 5-inch slim profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a phosphate finish and a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x36 and pairs with the included 9mm A2 birdcage flash hider in manganese phosphate finish. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish, serving as the core front end structure for the AR-9 build. The AR-9 platform operates via direct blowback.

Handguard

The 4-inch freefloat M-Lok handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type II hard coat anodized purple finish, keeping the forend lightweight and compact. The M-Lok slots provide attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length is shorter than the 5-inch barrel, and the muzzle device extends beyond the handguard to provide the necessary clearance.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group is built from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. This BCG is the correct unit for AR-9 direct blowback configurations. The AR-15 M4 charging handle completes the upper component set.

Gauntlet Arms Brace and Buffer System

The Gauntlet Arms nylon reinforced polymer pistol stabilizing brace in black pairs with the included heavy duty pistol buffer tube. The 5.5 oz 9mm carbine buffer, carbine recoil spring, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
