The Aegis Upper Build Kit is built around a 7.5-inch .223 Wylde barrel in an M4 profile with a pistol-length gas system, paired with a black free-float M-LOK handguard machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. The short barrel keeps the front end compact and light, and the 1:7 twist suits a wide range of bullet weights in .223 Wylde. BCG and charging handle are not included.

Barrel and Gas System

The 7.5-inch barrel is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel in an M4 profile and finished in Phosphate, a matte, corrosion-resistant treatment that gives it a clean, uniform look. Its 1:7 twist rate and .223 Wylde chamber make it suited to a wide range of bullet weights. It is set up for a pistol-length gas system with a .750-inch gas block size, and 1/2x28 muzzle threads carry the included TPI GI birdcage flash hider.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in anodizing, giving it a hard, wear-resistant surface. It is paired with a free-float M-LOK handguard machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in black. As a free-float design, it leaves the barrel free of handguard contact and gives the builder M-LOK slots for mounting lights, grips, and other accessories.

Compatibility

This kit is built for AR-15 lower receivers and .223 Wylde builds. Handguard length, gas tube and gas block details, feed ramp style, and ejection port and forward assist configuration were not supplied with this listing and should be confirmed before purchase. Because the BCG and charging handle are not included, they must be sourced separately to complete the upper.
