The Griffin is a complete AR-15 pistol build kit built on a proven platform. It pairs a compact 8.5-inch barrel with a pistol-length gas system, a 9-inch M-Lok handguard, and the SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable brace. This is a full build kit, which means it includes everything except the lower receiver itself. The upper assembly features a 4150 CrMoV nitride barrel, 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver, and a complete bolt carrier group. The lower comes with a mil-spec lower parts kit, buffer tube, buffer, recoil spring, castle nut, and end plate. The included muzzle device is a steel flash can design. All components are designed to work together without compatibility issues.

Barrel and Upper Assembly Design

The 8.5-inch barrel is built from 4150 CrMoV steel with a nitride finish, providing corrosion resistance and durability. The 1:7 twist rate stabilizes standard 5.56 NATO ammunition across a wide range of bullet weights. The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and anodized for protection. The 9-inch M-Lok handguard is free-floating, which means it doesn't contact the barrel, allowing for consistent accuracy without external pressure affecting the barrel. The M4 feed ramp design ensures reliable feeding across ammunition types.

Complete Lower and Buffer System

This kit includes a complete mil-spec lower parts kit with all trigger, hammer, disconnector, and selector components needed to finish a stripped lower receiver. The buffer system consists of a mil-spec heavy-duty buffer tube, a standard 3-ounce carbine recoil buffer, and a standard carbine recoil spring. The castle nut and end plate secure the buffer system to the lower receiver. All components are mil-spec quality and designed to function reliably in this configuration.

Muzzle Device and Gas System

The included muzzle device is a steel flash can design with a 1/2x28 thread pitch that matches the barrel. A crush washer is included to help time the device. The pistol-length gas tube works with the 0.750 micro low-profile gas block to cycle the bolt carrier group. This gas system configuration is optimized for the shorter barrel length and provides reliable operation without excessive noise or recoil.
