The barrel is a 16-inch M4 contour unit in 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a phosphate finish and cryo treatment. It is chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 twist rate and a 1/2x28 thread pitch. The carbine gas system runs through a 0.75 gas block, and a GI Birdcage flash hider at 1/2x28 is included at the muzzle.

The included bolt carrier group is 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish, compatible with 5.56, .223, .300, and .350 platforms. A Mil-Spec M4 charging handle is included as part of the complete upper component set.
