An AR-15 bolt carrier group is a piece of a firearm that houses many key parts such as the firing pin, gas key, cam pin, extractor, and bolt. With all these pieces working together, the BCG can grab and feed another round out of the detachable magazine chamber. During the extraction of a cartridge, the BCG works to absorb the force of the explosion by expanding gas in the carrier. Throughout this process, gas is tapped off from the barrel and sent into the cup inside of the gas key which creates an inertial force that sends the Bolt Carrier Group back into the buffer tube. This entire process helps to reduce recoil.

This AR-15 M4 Charging Handle is machined from 7075 T6 aluminum and has a Type III hard coat anodized finish. This means that this is one strong, durable, and reliable charging handle. This 9mm buffer is designed to be used on new or converted AR-15 shooting 9mm. Depending on a number of factors including barrel length, a heavier buffer may work much better than the standard 3 oz buffer. It is also used to reduce cycle rate of the AR-15 and felt recoil. This is a 5.4 ounce filled buffer to facilitate correct timing, cycling and firing of 9 mm and 9 mm +P loaded ammunition.
