The Davidson Defense Blackreach with Gauntlet Arms Brace is an AR-9 pistol full build kit chambered in 9mm with a 6-inch medium profile barrel. The kit includes the upper assembly, 9mm bolt carrier group, charging handle, Gauntlet Arms high-strength polymer pistol stabilizing brace, heavy duty pistol buffer tube, 5.5 oz buffer, carbine recoil spring, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware. The AR-9 platform operates via blowback. The lower receiver is not included.

Barrel and Upper Receiver

The 6-inch medium profile barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a nitride finish and a 1:10 twist rate. The muzzle is threaded at 1-in-2x28 and pairs with the included GI birdcage flash hider in manganese phosphate finish. The upper receiver is 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish, serving as the core front end structure for the AR-9 build.

Handguard

The 4.2-inch tubular M-Lok handguard is anodized black aluminum, keeping the forend lightweight and compact. The M-Lok slots along the handguard provide attachment points for lights, grips, and other accessories. The handguard length is shorter than the 6-inch barrel, and the muzzle device extends beyond the handguard to provide the necessary clearance.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The included 9mm bolt carrier group is built from 8620 alloy steel with a nitride finish. It is compatible with both Glock and Colt magazine patterns, covering the two primary AR-9 lower receiver feed configurations. The AR-15 M4 charging handle completes the upper component set.

Gauntlet Arms Brace and Buffer System

The Gauntlet Arms pistol stabilizing brace is high-strength polymer in black and pairs with the included heavy duty pistol buffer tube. The 5.5 oz buffer, carbine recoil spring, mil-spec receiver end plate, lower parts kit, and all associated buffer system hardware cover the core lower completion components outside the serialized lower receiver.
