About this Conversion Kit: This product is a magazine insert that converts your Gen 2 or Gen 3 5.56/.223 PMAG housing into a 9mm magazine to use with a standard AR lower and 9mm upper of your choosing with a Glock or Colt variant 9mm BCG.
Type: Magazine Conversion - Replace the internals of your standard PMAG with the conversion kit and feed 9mm rounds with ease!
Install: Disconnect the baseplate from your PMAG and remove the spring and follower inside, install the Endomag conversion kit into the magazine body and reinstall the baseplate.

General Barrel Info: The barrel on a 9mm AR-15 barrel operates under 'direct blowback' there is no gas system directly connected to a 9mm AR-15 barrel for the system to cycle. By design 9mm AR-15 barrels are affordable and come in many sizes, rifle, and pistol. This includes many of the familiar barrel profiles found on standard/common AR-15 platforms. Building an AR-15 chambered in 9mm is a great choice for training, or for your next Pistol Caliber Carbine build.
About This Barrel: This barrel is 4.5-inches long and chambered in 9mm. It features a medium profile and has a 1:10 twist rate. It is crafted from 4150 CMV with a nitride finish that keeps it strong, durable, corrosion resistant.
About the Profile: Medium Profile barrels are designed to have an even weight distributed from the beginning to the end of the barrel, this results in a rather tubular-looking appearance but with identical rigidity and properties to a government profile barrel.

Material: 4150 CrMoV - Chrome-Moly Vanadium, or simply "CMV", is the official mil-spec gun steel developed by Colt Firearms for the military-issued M16 and M4. It contains the same elements as 4150 steel. It also contains Vanadium. Vanadium significantly increases the strength, hardness, and high-temperature stability of the steel.
Finish: Nitride - Nitriding is a process during manufacturing that diffuses nitrogen into the steel to make a case-hardened surface for improved resistance and strength. A Nitrided barrel typically have a gloss black texture.
Thread Pitch: 1/2x36 - Commonly found on barrels threaded for 9mm, this will allow for 9mm muzzle devices on your AR-15 platform..
