The mil-spec heavy-duty 6-position carbine buffer tube provides six length-of-pull adjustment positions for stock positioning. The KAK Industries 5.5-ounce 9mm carbine buffer provides heavier buffer weight specifically designed for AR-9 pistol caliber carbine platforms with blowback operation. The increased weight compared to standard 3-ounce buffers helps manage the higher bolt mass and blowback forces of 9mm chamberings. The standard carbine recoil spring made in USA provides the spring force necessary for bolt carrier group cycling. The buffer tube, 9mm buffer, and spring work together to manage bolt carrier group recoil and cycling in AR-9 applications.
The AR-15/M16 mil-spec receiver end plate mounts between the buffer tube and lower receiver to secure the buffer tube retaining mechanism. The standard carbine castle nut threads onto the buffer tube to secure it to the lower receiver and locks the end plate in position. The complete bundle includes all components necessary for stock and buffer assembly on AR-15 and AR-9 platforms: stock, buffer tube, 9mm-specific buffer, recoil spring, end plate, and castle nut.
