Designed for the discriminating shooter and professional end-users, VG6 Precision's EPSILON 556 affords you the best muzzle control and recoil mitigation the industry has to offer. This is a true combination muzzle brake / compensator / flash hider. Its performance is matched only by the amazing look of this device.
The VG6 Epsilon 556 carries many of the same characteristics as the Gamma556 with a few exceptions. Extended flash hiding prongs and no ports at the 12 o'clock positions allow uninhibited view from flash through optics or sights. The difference in porting is also noticed on the underside of the device where it has 6 valve holes to allow the fastest gasses reaching the second chamber to exit. This creates very soft low energy recoil that allows for absolute control. The VG6 Epsilon 556 carries all these specs and is priced well below our competitors.
Includes pre-drilled hole for pinning to a 14.5" barrel for an overall length of 16.1".
About This Muzzle Device: Muzzle Brake - A muzzle brake is designed to reduce the amount of recoil you feel when you fire your weapon. A muzzle brake has slots or holes called ports cut into the sides of the device that allows the escaping gases to move in a way that helps to reduce the recoil felt. A quality muzzle brake can significantly lower the felt recoil in your weapon. Which is one of many reasons why gun owners make this device a key part of their collections. Doubling as a compensator. This muzzle device lowers the rise of your weapon upon the firing of your gun, allowing you to return to the target quicker. It has holes or slots, also known as ports cut only into the upper half of the device, which helps the escaping gases force the muzzle to stay down instead of moving upward. A high-quality compensator helps the shooter stay on target, or return to it faster.
Threading: 1/2x28 Is a common thread type for muzzle devices made for .22 caliber projectiles, commonly found on AR-15 barrels chambered in .223 Wylde, 5.56 NATO, and including .224 Valkyrie.
Finish: Nitride - Nitriding is a process during manufacturing that diffuses nitrogen into the steel to make a case-hardened surface for improved resistance and strength. A Nitrided barrel typically has a gloss black texture.
Chambers: This Muzzle Brake has 2 chambers to catch the expanding gasses and divert them to the sides of the shooter, reducing recoil and increasing controllability.
Ports: This Muzzle Device has 10 ports to compensate for the felt recoil and reduce muzzle climb by pushing the barrel back down, making the shooting experience feel flat without jumping off target.
Pin & Weld Ready - By permanently pinning and welding® these muzzle devices to the rifle's barrel, the barrel length will exceed the NFA's 16 inch requirement. For example if you own an AR with a 14.5 inch barrel. It is classified as a pistol. Even with a 1.5 inch muzzle device, it is still a pistol since the muzzle device is not a permanent piece of the weapon. Purchasing a pin and weld ready device you have the option to permanently weld on the device making your weapon a rifle.
