Warranty and Returns Policy



For any issues with your order, (Missing, Damaged, and/or broken Products) you must notify customer service via email at service@davidsondefense.com with your order number as the subject line, within 48 hours of your package being delivered. Please include photos of the damaged/broken product in your email. If you are missing products, please include photos of your packaging. If your package is damaged, do not discard it. The package may need to be presented to the carrier by the customer for inspection. If the package is discarded, we may not be able to make a claim or reimburse the customer.  If Customer Service is not notified within 48 hours of the package being delivered, replacements may not be made or compensation may not be issued. For Builds, please see the Warranty Policy for Assembled Upper Builds Below.



Davidson Defense offers a 30 day return, refund and exchange policy. You must email or call Davidson Defense and obtain an RMA number prior to any return, refund, or exchange. All returns must include the original order number, receipt or invoice, along with the billing address, shipping address, contact phone numbers, contact emails, and RMA number. Returns, refunds, and exchanges may take up to two weeks, not including transit times, for processing after we receive it. Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the returning party, with the exception of the wrong item being received or on warranty exchange during the first 30 days after delivery.  Items returned for warranty will only be replaced or exchanged, not refunded.

 

After 30 days from delivery, returns on items that are unused and in the original packaging, ready for resale, will be accepted, subject to a 15% restocking fee for up to 60 days. If the product packaging has been written on, opened or damaged or the product is damaged, installed or used, the item will be rejected or subject to a 25% restocking fee. This includes taping the original box or packaging or not returning the item with outside wrapping to protect original boxes or packaging or parts, accessories and instructions. The return must include ALL items that were shipped with the product. Shipping charges and/or shipping costs are not subject to refunds. Products not subject to returns include custom configured products, used products, special orders, and items sold "as is" "no returns" or "used".  No items may be returned after 60 days for refund or credit.  Refunds will be made against the original credit card used for payment.  If the original credit card is no longer valid, an alternative form of payment will be made.

 

 

All Items being returned for warranty exchange must follow the above policy in regards to obtaining an RMA number, information requirements etc.  Davidson Defense will issue a postage paid return label only for warranty returns within the first 30 days after delivery.  On items returned for warranty after 30 days, shipping costs must be paid by the returning party and a check or money order for return shipping of $10.00 must accompany items being returned for warranty for return shipping costs.  We have a limited lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship in parts that are NOT considered normal wear type items.  Those normal wear items include things that are normally replaced periodically or that will wear out during normal use such as firing pins, extractors, barrels and other parts that are expected to wear as they are used.  Warranty does NOT include ANY part that has been modified, abused, disassembled or altered in any fashion.    This includes modifying for install, painting, abuse, or taking items apart including those that are not normally user serviceable beyond normal field stripping, such as scopes, sights and barreled uppers.  Using loktite or other thread locking compounds, or using non-standard gunsmithing tools such as a pipe wrench on parts automatically voids the warranty on those parts.  Warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials only and does not include dropping, hitting, abuse, use of non-standard or reloaded ammunition, parts illegally modified and damage incurred by the user on installation, modification or building or damage caused by the ammunition.

 

 

Warranty Policy for Assembled Upper Builds


For any assembled upper builds that arrive with blemishes/cosmetic defects on the inside of the product that do not affect the functionality of the product, a partial refund may be issued depending on the severity of the blemish/cosmetic defect. The severity of any and all blemishes/cosmetic defects will be determined by Davidson Defense. The outcome of the decision will typically lean in the customer’s favor. A repair may or may not be authorized depending on the determined severity of the blemish/ cosmetic defect. If the blemish/cosmetic defect is on the visible/outer portion of the assembled upper build, the product may be shipped back to Davidson Defense for a cosmetic repair which may involve replacing the damaged product or fixing the blemish/cosmetic defect. Repair/replacement of the blemished/cosmetically defective products depends on the severity and or the location of the blemish/cosmetic defect. The customer must contact Davidson Defense within 30 days of receiving the product for any sort of compensation on blemished products. This date will be determined by the date on which the tracking number (provided by the carrier/delivery service) of the product states that the product/package was delivered. This date is not negotiable.

 

For repairs and/or replacements of products with functionality issues, the customer must receive an authorized RMA from Davidson Defense for the product before shipping it back or the return/package will not be approved for repair and the package will be rejected. If the product has been modified or disassembled in any way without the express written approval of Davidson Defense, the repair will not be approved. If the product is received and Davidson Defense determines that it has been disassembled or modified without express permission from Davidson Defense, the repair will not be approved, and the customer will be responsible for paying the return shipping to get the product back. If it has been within 30 days of the customer receiving the product, Davidson Defense may approve a prepaid return label to be issued to the customer to send the product back for a repair. If it has been more than 30 days since the customer has received the product, the customer will be responsible for paying to ship the product to Davidson Defense. Before a repair and RMA can be authorized, the customer will be asked to fill out a troubleshooting questionnaire. This must be done before the repair can be authorized.



Shipping Policy



Shipping Time -- Most orders will ship within 72 hours, with the excepts noted above for high demand items and backorders from our suppliers. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, except by prior arrangement. Please see our up to date shipping times HERE.

We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Davidson Defense or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

Shipping is 9.99 flat rate for orders under $200, free shipping for orders over $200 except for larger shipments given quantity discounts which will be quoted, or if you are in our dealer program.

Credit Cards



We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard,  and Discover. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be processed when you place your order by our processing company.  We don't get or keep your credit card information.

Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, Company Checks, & Personal Checks



We accept money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks, and company checks in U.S. Dollars only. Orders are processed upon receipt of a money order or cashier’s check. For personal and company checks, please allow up to 10 banking days after receipt for clearance of funds before the order is processed. We cannot guarantee the availability of a product by the time funds clear or payment is received. We will charge a $25 fee on all returned checks. If you wish to pay with a mailed in payment, contact us first so that we can take your order and enter it into the system for a mailed in payment.



Multiple Product Orders



For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. The entirety of this shipping charge may be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order.



Order Acceptance Policy



Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Davidson Defense reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.



Other Conditions



These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether Davidson Defense signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.



Out-of-Stock Products



We will ship your product as it becomes available. Most orders do ship within 72 hours, however due to current political conditions and the election season, your order may take longer. There may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order.  We have been subject to increasing delays in orders coming from manufacturers due to the high demands. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping.



Privacy



We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your name, email address, credit card information, address, phone number, and a password. We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping experience.  Credit card information is stored only with the card processor.

Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.

To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials and new additions to the site. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.

When entering any of our contests or prize drawings, you provide your name, email address and mailing address. If you win, we will send the prize to the address entered and notify you by email. When you enter a contest or drawing you are also included in our newsletter list to receive notice of promotions, specials and new additions to the Sample Store site. You may unsubscribe from this news list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.

We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping cart at any time.

Other sites accessible through our site have their own privacy policies and data collection practices. Please consult each site's privacy policy. Our Store is not responsible for the actions of third parties.



Taxes



Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state. Because of the Supreme Court Justice ruling in South Dakota vs. Wayfair, we are now required to collect and report sales tax to states that we represent an economic nexus in as well.



Typographical Errors



In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Davidson Defense shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Davidson Defense shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.  This credit will only go back to the card used when placing the order.





SERIALIZED PRODUCTS



DAVIDSON DEFENSE IS A DAVIDSON DEFENSE INC. OWNED COMPANY. ALL FIREARMS WILL BE SHIPPED FROM THE DAVIDSON DEFENSE FACILITY. 

There are certain persons who cannot legally receive or possess firearm 

  1. Has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year; 

  2. Is a fugitive from justice; 

  3. Is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance; 

  4. Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to a mental institution; 

  5. Is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States or an alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa; 

  6. Has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;

  7. Having been a citizen of the United States, has renounced his or her citizenship;

  8. Is subject to a court order that restrains the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of such intimate partner; or 

  9. Has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

  10. Cannot lawfully receive, possess, ship, or transport a firearm. [18 U.S.C. 922(g) and (n), 27 CFR 478.32]

Any nonlicensee (FFL) will have to have any and all firearms (rifles, pistols, receivers, and other serialized parts ) shipped to a FFL NOTE: IT IS A FEDERAL CRIME TO SHIP ANY FIREARM TO A NONLICENSEE (FFL) 

ALL FIREARMS BOUGHT FROM DAVIDSON DEFENSE WILL BE SHIPPED FROM DAVIDSON DEFENSE

All licensed firearm dealers will receive a copy of Davidson Defenses FFL with all orders. All licensed dealers purchasing from Davidson Defense will need to supply a copy of their current FFL. 



Note: NO FIREARMS WILL BE SHIPPED UNTIL WE RECEIVE A COPY OF THE FFL TRANSFER DEALER (FOR NON LICENSED DEALERS)

Shipping Restrictions

• Davidson Defense LLC will not ship ANY items to the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.). 

• Davidson Defense LLC will not ship ANY serialized items to the state of Massachusetts. 

• Davidson Defense LLC will not ship ANY AR or AK Parts or Firearms (Including Receivers) to residents of Connecticut, Chicago, Illinois, Cook County, Illinois, or Deerfield, Illinois 

Illinois: All handguns having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver which is a die casting of zinc alloy or other non-homogeneous metal that melts or deforms at a temperature of less than 800 degrees Fahrenheit are prohibited. 

Minnesota: All handguns having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver which is a die casting of zinc alloy or other non-homogeneous metal that melts or deforms at a temperature of less than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, of any material having an ultimate tensile strength of less than 55,000 pounds per square inch, and of any powdered metal having a density of less than 7.5 grams per cubic centimeter are prohibited. 

• Davidson Defense LLC will not ship ANY AR or AK Firearms (Including Receivers) to residents of Aurora, Highland Park, Deerfield, or Cook County, Illinois. 

• Davidson Defense LLC will not ship any handguns to CA that are not on the DOJ roster. This includes Single Shot Exemption conversions. 

• NO firearms sales to Puerto Rico
