The Charging Handle on the DPMS LR-308 / AR-10 rifle is a simple latching design that indexes with the gas key on your bolt carrier group, this allows you to charge your rifle, eject and feed rounds manually.
About this Charging Handle: The new ARCH-EL Charging Handle from Strike Industries is a 7075 T-6 milled hard anodized charging handle featuring a larger latch surface that functions with ease in adverse conditions and is now available in both the AR15 and AR10 platforms. With its high polished surface, its ergonomic design makes for a smooth, clean charge. The quality of the ARCH-EL is second to none and it's built for durability. Its gas busting ability diverts harmful gases, oil, and dirt away from the shooter.
Latch Style: Extended Latch - Extended Latch Charging handles allow the user more surface area to grip and engage with the charging handle. While this extends just a bit further out from the upper receiver, extended latches are great for users with gloves or those wanting just a bit more leverage.
Platform: This charging handle is designed for the LR-308 platform. This will work on the AR-15 platform, but the latch will not engage with a groove cut on the upper receiver, and it will be a few inches longer.
