Spikes Tactical Micro Gas Block .750 w/ Two Set Screws
The Gas Block on your AR-15 / AR-10 style rifle is an integral part of the gas system that allows your rifle to cycle. By tapping off gas from the barrel and diverting it back into the gas key of the bolt carrier group, there is enough inertial force to unlock the bolt carrier, send it rearward to the recoil assembly, and extract and pickup another cartridge to fire.
About this Gas Block: This gas block is machined with a .750 Gas Port. .750 Gas Ports are standard for AR-15 barrels chambered in .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, and .300 Blackout. This gas block size is known for its reliability it assisting the rifle function in regular and adverse conditions. This gas block has a 'low-profile' design and is made to fit underneath a free-float handguard.
The Spike's Tactical Low-Profile Gas Block is CNC machined from solid billet steel and a Melonite coating inside and out. Due to its low profile design, our Low-Pro Gas Block will fit under most aftermarket rail systems so you can have a rail longer than your gas system allowing for a longer sight radius when using iron sights and also giving you more room out front to mount your forward grip and/or light for better handling and control.
The Spikes Tactical Low-Profile Gas Block mounts securely to your rifle with two stainless steel set screws instead of using a clamp on system that can twist around the barrel and cause the gas flow to be pinched off (we recommend that you have your barrel dimpled when installing this gas block to add even more resistance to twisting). We've also designed the front of the gas block to be closed to eliminate gas leakage which can hurt the performance of your rifle and we also include the gas tube roll pin for your connivance.
