In short, the 12.7x42 is an elephantine round designed to increase the stopping power of an AR-15-platform rifle. But with great power comes greatâ€¦ Recoil, noise, and a whole lot of barrel movement. Having this cannon of a rifle all but forces you to get a good quality muzzle device to help you manage these side effects. A good muzzle brake has been proven to eliminate most of the recoil on a 12.7x42. A compensator will help you return to your target quicker. And a linear compensator can help your ears by forcing the sound forward instead of right at you.

About This Muzzle Device: Flash Hider - A flash hider is exactly what it sounds like. This muzzle device is designed to hide the flash of your rifle. While modern-day ARs and ammo are designed to burn as much gunpowder as possible, it doesnâ€™t always happen that way. Sometimes, there is remaining powder burnt causing the visible flash out of the end of your weapon. A good flash hider, although not able to completely remove the flash effect. Can significantly remove the flash from the end of your barrel.
