Shakedown 16-inch 9mm AR-9 Full Build Kit

The Shakedown is a Full Build Kit built around a 16-inch 9mm barrel machined from 416R stainless steel with an M4 profile, paired with a 6061 pistol-caliber AR-15 billet upper receiver. It pairs a 12-inch ultra-lightweight minimalist M-LOK handguard with a KAK Industry 9mm Mini Compensator at the muzzle. It runs on a direct blowback operating system. A 9mm nitride bolt carrier group, Mil-Spec charging handle, complete Lower Parts Kit, carbine buffer-system components, and a Special Operations stock round out the rest of the rifle. The lower receiver is not included, leaving the buyer to select and supply that component separately.

Barrel and Muzzle Device

The barrel runs 16 inches long, chambered in 9mm and machined from 416R stainless steel with an M4 profile. It carries a 1:10 twist rate and operates on a direct blowback system rather than a gas-driven cycle. At the muzzle sits a KAK Industry 9mm Mini Compensator, threaded to match the barrel's 1/2x36 pattern and secured with the included 1/2-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a 6061 billet unit built for the pistol-caliber AR-15 platform, compatible with PCC/blowback operation. Over the barrel sits a 12-inch ultra-lightweight minimalist handguard, using an M-LOK attachment system with a partial Picatinny top rail rather than a full-length rail. This handguard does not include anti-rotation tabs.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

The bolt carrier group is a 9mm nitride-finished unit machined from 8620 alloy steel, fitted with an external extractor for reliable case ejection. It's built for Glock and Colt-style magazine compatibility, giving the buyer flexibility depending on the lower this build eventually pairs with. A Mil-Spec AR-15 M4 charging handle rounds out the upper's operating components.

Lower Parts Kit and Buffer System

A complete Mil-Spec AR-15 Lower Parts Kit covers the fire-control and lower-control internals needed once a lower receiver is on hand. Behind it sits a Mil-Spec heavy-duty six-position buffer tube, holding an AR-15 9mm carbine buffer and a standard USA-made recoil spring. An AR-15 carbine castle nut and Mil-Spec AR-15/M16 receiver end plate secure the buffer tube assembly to the lower.

Stock

Capping off the rifle is a Special Operations AR-15 stock. It slides onto the six-position buffer tube included with this kit, giving the shooter adjustable length-of-pull for the final piece of the build.
