The Iron Storm Complete Upper is built around an 18-inch .308 Winchester "Scrubber" barrel with a mid-length gas system, a billet LR-308 upper receiver in the DPMS low profile pattern, a Guntec 12-inch free-float M-LOK handguard, and a complete Recoil Technologies Nitride BCG and aluminum charging handle.

Barrel and Gas System

The 18-inch "Scrubber" barrel is machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel in a contour profile with a Manganese Phosphate finish and a 1:10 twist rate suited to .308 Winchester. It runs a mid-length gas system through a stainless steel gas tube and a micro low-profile steel gas block with a .750-inch diameter. At the muzzle, 5/8x24 threads carry the birdcage flash hider, secured with the included 5/8-inch black crush washer.

Upper Receiver and Handguard

The upper receiver is a billet LR-308 unit built to the DPMS low profile pattern with a Type III hardcoat black anodized finish, and the ejection port door ships assembled. The forward assist is not included on this upper. It's paired with a Guntec 12-inch ultra-lightweight, thin free-float M-LOK handguard featuring a monolithic Picatinny top rail, finished in black.

Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle

A Recoil Technologies bolt carrier group is included, finished in Nitride for corrosion resistance and smoother cycling, and rated across .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .243 Winchester. Alongside it, an aluminum LR-308 charging handle is included, sized correctly for the AR-10 pattern upper.
