ELD Performance LR-308 16" .308, Mid Gas, HBar, 1-10T Parkerized Barrel

The ELD Performance LR-308 Barrel is a 16" heavy profile barrel made of 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a parkerized finish, a mid-length gas system with a 1:10 twist rate. The barrel is chambered in .308 and machined with AR-10 feed ramps in the barrel extension.

This ELD Performance barrel offers outstanding stopping power & accuracy which makes it the perfect option for putting on your AR Rifle.

All Finished Barrels go through a 100% Inspection Process.
General Barrel Info: The barrel on an LR-308 originally operates under a 'gas impingement' system, by tapping gas off of the barrel and cycling it back through the gas system to assist the bolt carrier in unlocking and extracting the spent cartridge. LR-308 Barrels come in four different specifications for gas systems, Pistol, Carbine, Mid-Length, and Rifle. LR-308 Barrels vary between profiles as well from Government, to Heavy, and Slim. Thanks to the modularity of LR-308, you can choose different calibers starting with the barrel, each with its specific twist rates. Choosing your barrel for your next LR-308 build has never been easier.
About This Barrel: The Barrel is made by ELD Performance it is 16" long, and is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium, and is finished in a manganese phosphate appearance. Chambered for .308 Win, using an H-Bar profile design, this barrel will fit your next LR-308 build perfectly.
About the Profile: H-Bar - A heavy barrel adds a lot of weight to the rifle but a rifle thus equipped is more accurate than a rifle with a normal barrel because a heavy barrel heats up much more slowly than a normal barrel. With more material added, a heavy barrel by design is structurally stronger and more accurate.

Caliber: .308 WIN - This barrel is chambered in .308 Winchester otherwise known as 7.62x51 NATO. .308 Win is the standard caliber for LR-308/AR-10 rifles of old & modern battle rifles from the 70s onward. Featuring amazing long-range accuracy and energy delivery, 308 Winchester is the most common hunting and long rifle round in America.
Material: 4150 CrMoV - Chrome-Moly Vanadium, or simply "CMV", is the official mil-spec gun steel developed by Colt Firearms for the military-issued M16 and M4. It contains the same elements as 4150 steel. It also contains Vanadium. Vanadium significantly increases the strength, hardness, and high-temperature stability of the steel.
Finish: Phosphate - Manganese Phosphate finishes are used on barrels to protect against corrosion and wear. Manganese Phosphate finished is considered for its toughness, and is used in multiple different applications such as aerospace, ordnance, and other firearms-related parts.
Thread Pitch: 5/8x24 - 5/8x24 Threads are commonly found on barrels chambered in .30 Cal and up. Usually .308 Win, .300BLK, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 7.62x39. Muzzle Devices such as flash hiders, blast cans, and compensators will work with this barrel.
